Things Teachers Wish Parents Knew Tip # 3 Read, Read, Read

I know you hear this over and over, but I'm going to say it again: Reading is so important! If you haven't established a reading routine yet, start with only five minutes a day. Slowly increase it by 5 minutes until you're reading 20-30 minutes a day. Every child is different; some have an attention span of only 5-10 minutes. If that's where you are, that's good enough. Once you begin reading, you will quickly come to love reading to them. The hard part is the beginning and turning it into a routine.  This brings us to:
